A soldier of the Pakistan army was martyred and five alleged terrorists were killed during an Intelligence Based Operation in the North Waziristan tribal district on Monday.
The security forces, reports say swung into action against the militants on credible information in Jhallar Algad area of the North Waziristan District that led to shootout between the outlaws and the forces that moved down at least five terrorists.
However, during intense firing with the militants a soldier of the Pakistan army namely Nasir Hussein also embraced Shahadat.
The Security forces also recovered heavy ammunition from the terrorists. “Security Forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation in Jhallar Algad, North Waziristan District. During the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists.
Troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location. Resultantly, five terrorists got killed. Weapon and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists. During intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Nasir Khan aged 25 years, resident of South Waziristan District fought gallantly and embraced Shahadat”.
The Inter Services Public Relations communiqué issued Monday said adding the killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent citizens.
“Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area”. The ISPR concluded.
