Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) marked EidMilad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on Friday with a vibrant and heartfelt celebration, reflecting the deep religious devotion of the university community. The program featured performances by students from SMIU and SMIU Model School, including Qiraat (recitations of the Quran), Naat (praise of the Prophet), and speeches highlighting the significance of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as a blessing to Muslims and humanity at large.
Vice Chancellor Dr. MujeebSahrai emphasized the profound impact of the Prophet’s teachings. “Our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is not only the last Prophet for Muslims but also the Rahmatul-lil-Alameen (Mercy to the worlds) for all of mankind,” he stated. Dr. Sahrai urged everyone to embody the Prophet’s teachings in their daily lives, asserting that doing so would enhance both individual character and communal welfare. Dr. Sahrai further commented, “Even adopting a fraction of the Prophet’s blessed life and teachings can transform us into better Muslims and more compassionate human beings.” He stressed the critical need for the Muslim Ummah to align closely with the Prophet’s guidance in these challenging times.
The Vice Chancellor also extended his praise to the participating students and commended Muhammad Naeem Ahmed, Director of the Directorate of Students’ Affairs and Counseling, and his team for their efforts in organizing the event with exceptional grandeur. The celebration was attended by SMIU’s Deans, heads of various academic and administrative departments, faculty members, and students, all contributing to a memorable observance of EidMilad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
