As the Covid-19 positivity rate in the federal capital is increasing steadily and on Monday it was reported 6.68 per cent, the district administration imposed smart lockdown in high-risk areas of the capi-tal that include a number of streets, schools, etc.
Besides, it also sealed a number of businesses and two educational institutions. According to the District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Zaeem Zia, 1,752 tests were conducted during the last twenty-four hours after that 117 persons were tests positive.
An academy and a school were sealed as there were more than three cases in each of them.
Now we are going to impose a smart lockdown in the city as the positivity rate is continuously rising, Deputy Com-missioner Hamza Shafqaat said.
According to the Deputy Commission, in less than four days, Covid-19 ratio has jumped from less than 1 per cent to 5 per cen.
The areas which were sealed on Monday include Street 13, Qartaba Town, Khanna; Street 18 G-11/2; Street 19, F-6/3; Street 24, G-7/2 ; Street 29, Block H, Soan Garden, IMS for Boys F-8/3 and KIPS Academy PWD.
