Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has said that the Prime Minister has made millions of people unemployed but on the contrary promising 10 million jobs. “Double Shah used to double his wealth, the Prime Minister quadrupled the problems. Which mafia does the government want to reward through the privatization of institutions?”
He expressed these views on Sunday while addressing the employees and their families who had been protesting for 14 days in front of the PSM Chairman House in Steel Town. Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Deputy Ameer Dr Osama Razi, Ameer of Malir District Muhammad Islam, Information Secretary Zahid Askari, General Secretary of Pasloo Ali Haider Gabol and others were also present on the occasion.
Sirajul Haq said if the Prime Minister remembers his claims, then he should come to the sit-in of the protesting employees and families of Pakistan Steel and negotiate with them. “Do not delay in arriving like the tragedy of Quetta.
FIR against other leaders should be withdrawn, government withdraws announcement of privatization of 9 more institutions, privatization of national institutions and introduction of contracting system will not solve the problems of national economy and workers, national institutions.”
The JI chief said the perpetrators of destruction, corruption, mismanagement, nepotism and incompetence should be caught and their properties should be sold and deposited in the national treasury. Deficits cannot be met by making the poor and laborers unemployed. ,
He viewed that Jamaat-e-Islami has raised voice for the rights of workers evicted from other institutions including Steel Mill, oppressed people across the country, including Shehar-e-Quaid.
Abdul Akbar Chitrali in the National Assembly and Syed Abdul Rashid in the Sindh Assembly will be the real spokespersons of the workers and employees of Steel Mills.
Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said that under the leadership of Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman and his team, a tremendous movement and campaign is underway for the solution of the serious problems of the city leader and for the acquisition of legitimate and legal rights of the people of Karachi.
He said that Pakistan Steel has been a prestigious and profitable company, providing basic equipment for the improvement of the national economy, reduction of unemployment and development of the country, but unfortunately since 2008 it has changed its look and become incompetent.
