Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Atif Mashal on Wednesday called on Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Senator Sirajul Haq in Islamabad and discussed with him situation in Afghanistan and region as well.
According to details, Senator Siraj said the JI fully supported the intra-Afghan peace talks which were expected to start in Qatar later this month. It was need of the hour that Afghan groups initiated dialogue to resolve their differences and establish peace in the war torn country. Growing influence of India in Afghanistan could be dangerous for brotherly relation between Islamabad and Kabul, he added.
