Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ali Malkani, emphasized that universities in Sindh are actively working to promote research and observation, with full support from the provincial government. He made these remarks while addressing the audience at the Electrical, Electronics, and Industrial Exhibition held at the Expo Centre, where he was the guest of honor.
During the event, the Minister highlighted the efforts being made to encourage faculty, researchers, and students in their academic endeavors. He assured that the Department of Universities and Boards will continue to provide unwavering support and motivation to strengthen academic excellence across Sindh. The exhibition, organized in collaboration with various universities and Badr Expo, was attended by Vice Chancellors Dr. Samreen of Dawood University and the Vice Chancellor of Alama University. They guided the Minister through the exhibition, showcasing various student-led projects. The students provided detailed briefings on their innovations. Minister Malkani shared his vision to reform the examination system.
He expressed his intent to minimize human interference in the process and digitize paper checking, a strategy he implemented upon assuming office. Speaking to the media, the Minister noted that when he took charge, many universities had been operating without permanent vice-chancellors for a long time.
However, just last week, the Sindh government appointed permanent vice-chancellors at five universities. Commending the efforts of students and faculty participating in the exhibition, the Minister assured them of the government’s full support.
