Sindh stands in solidarity with minorities: Ahmed Shah

Caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Minority Affairs, Social Protection and President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Muhammad Ahmad Shah, marked a significant moment of unity by visiting Karachi’s historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Holy Trinity Cathedral Church. Accompanied by Chief Minister Sindh, Justice Retired Maqbool Baqir, the leaders participated in the Christmas celebrations to foster religious harmony in the country.

Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh, Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqir, emphasized the importance of religious coexistence, stating, “The guiding principle of the Quaid e Azam is that religious harmony should develop in the country.” He expressed admiration for the coincidence of celebrating the birthday of the father of the nation alongside the Christmas festival, During the festivities, a cake-cutting ceremony took place with the Christian community, symbolizing the spirit of shared joy and collaboration. Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh extended heartfelt wishes, saying, “I have come here today to express the same feelings and emotions of the Christian community.

We fully share the happiness of the Christian brothers, and I assure that we will continue to cooperate fully in security and other matters in the future. Caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Minority Affairs, Social Protection, Muhammad Ahmed Shah reaffirmed the Sindh government’s commitment to supporting the Christian community. He stated, “The cooperation of the Sindh government is with the Christian community,” assuring that the entire administration stands in solidarity with them. Bishop Trinity Frederick John expressed gratitude for the government’s attention to the security and well-being of the Christian community.

He said, “I am happy that the Chief Minister of Sindh and the Minister of Minority Affairs are participating in our joy.” The visit and celebrations exemplify a commitment to inclusivity, cooperation, and the promotion of religious harmony in the province.
