Pledging full support for the “Make in Pakistan” initiative, Sindh government has called for policy commitments to be translated into practical measures to address industrial challenges.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 15th IEEEP Fair 2026 at the Karachi Expo Centre on Friday, Minister for Energy Syed Nasir Hussain Shah assured the engineering and manufacturing sectors of the provincial government’s cooperation in promoting locally manufactured products.
He assured that issues related to taxes, duties, regulations and other industrial hurdles would be resolved on priority.
Organised by the IEEEP Karachi Centre and Badar Expo Solutions, the three-day fair brought together more than 200 local and international exhibitors from the electrical, electronics and renewable energy sectors.
IEEEP Karachi Centre Chairman Engr. Naveed Akram Ansari said the event provided a platform for knowledge sharing, B2B networking and stronger industry-government collaboration.
He also highlighted the newly introduced Made in Pakistan Excellence Award, which was won by MACHT (Pvt) Limited.
Badar Expo Solutions CEO Zohair Naseer said the exhibition generated significant business opportunities through B2B meetings and trade interactions.
The organisers announced that the 16th IEEEP Fair will be held from September 7 to 9, 2027, at the Karachi Expo Centre.
