Senior Provincial Minister SharjeelInamMemon, has announced a stringent crackdown on tax evaders and drug dealers. In a high-level meeting held in Karachi, plans were unveiled to publish the names of tax evaders in newspapers and freeze their accounts. Minister Memon emphasized the grave threat tax evasion poses to the nation’s prosperity, vowing stern action against offenders.
He also lauded efforts to combat drug dealers and instructed authorities to intensify the crackdown, citing their menace to the country’s future.
Furthermore, the government plans to deploy competent police officers to bolster operations against drug peddlers and tax evaders, initially focusing on Karachi and Hyderabad. Measures to enhance prosecution and investigation, awarding of prizes to top performers, and proposals for biometric vehicle registration were also discussed.
