The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh conducted a targeted operation against banned organizations, resulting in the successful prosecution of 9 criminals in anti-terrorism courts. According to a spokesperson for CTD Sindh, the apprehended individuals were involved in various criminal activities including illegal weapons trafficking, possession of explosives, and murder. Khairpur anti-terrorism court sentenced Naveed Ahmed, Shahzeb Khan, and Syed Qasim to 10 years in prison each for their involvement in trafficking weapons for banned organizations. Meanwhile, the Karachi anti-terrorism court handed down sentences of 2 years each to Shahzeb Ahmed and Tashkeer Ahmed for their roles in terrorist activities.
Additionally, Syed Qasim, Umar Farooq, and Imran received one-year prison sentences from the same court for illegal possession of weapons. Ezat was sentenced to 14 years in one case and 7 years in another by the Karachi anti-terrorism court for the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. All convicted individuals were apprehended by the diligent efforts of CTD Sindh, reflecting the department’s commitment to combating terrorism and maintaining law and order in the province.
