Sindh is an ideal place for tourism and measures should be taken to exploit potential in this sector and generate revenue by making it eco-friendly and hassle-free. This was discussed during a meeting of Mr Faisal Zahid Malik, Editor-in-Chief, Pakistan Observer with Arshad Wali Muhammad, Provincial Minister for Tourism, Environment and Climate Change.
Mr Faisal Zahid Malik appreciated the measures taken by the provincial minister for promotion of tourism in Pakistan in general and in Sindh in particular.
Sindh province, he said has great attractions for tourists with its great ocean and the vast desert at the same time. Besides, Karachi being a metropolitan has its own attractions for the tourists. If planned wisely, tourists from across the world will happily visit Sindh and huge investment can be made, he said.
He said there are businesses like Gerry’s Group that can contribute in preserving the environment while promoting tourism. Public-private partnership is key to support this strategy, he further said.
Sindh Minister Arshad Wali Muhammad agreed with the CEO of Pakistan Observer and briefed him about his vision to promote tourism and attract investment in this particular sector.
Besides, sustainable transportation, well-organized trips and a safe environment can also contribute to promotion of tourism in the province.
