KARACHI – Sigh of relief for government employees, as Chief Minister of Sindh announced a considerable increase in salaries and allowances in Budget 2025.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah approved 12 percent raise in salaries of employees of Grades 1 to 16, while officers in Grades 17 to 22 will get a 10 percent increase.

Besides salary hike, pensions have been increased by 8 percent, providing relief to retired employees. The conveyance allowance for persons with disabilities has also been enhanced as part of the new measures.
Furthermore, all government employees will be granted a 10 percent adhoc allowance, aimed at easing the financial burden amid rising living costs.
This move is seen as part of the Sindh government’s ongoing efforts to support its workforce and improve their welfare in the upcoming fiscal year. Officials say the adjustments will come into effect immediately and are expected to positively impact thousands of public servants across the province.
