Siddiqui’s poetry gives voice and hope to oppressed: Iftikhar


Chairman of Muqtada Qaumi Language Iftikhar Arif has said that the poetry of Senator Professor Irfan Siddiqui is concerned with the conditions of his country and his people and struggle against oppression. He expressed these views while presiding over the reception ceremony of the first poetry collection of writer and columnist Irfan Siddiqui’s “Greez-pa Mosamon ki Khushbo” organized by cultural organizations “Adabi Parvar” and “Zawiya” with the support of Academy of literature.

Speakers included Fawad Hasan Fawad, Dr. Jamal Nasir, Dr. Rauf Parkh, Dr. Fahmida Tabsum, Dr. Humeera Ashfaq, prof sajad Hussain Malik ,Dr. Inam ul Haq Javed, Prof Yousaf Khushk and others expressed their views on the personality and poetry of Professor Irfan Siddiqui. Iftikhar Arif said that Irfan Siddiqui has gone through difficult phases of life and love, loyalty is in his nature and poetry. Part of his poetry collection consists of first poems. These poems tell a story, which covers all seasons of love.

He said that the intensity of passion and the abundance of feeling from the first stanza to the last stanza, from the kind seasons of covenant and peace to the painful times of emigration and separation, the whole atmosphere has been described in legend after legend.

Professor Dr. Ehsan Akbar said that his romantic poems reveal the real mystery of his personality. Irfan Siddiqui said that my poetry is mainly the poetry of dreams, colors and fragrances.
