In a speech at the conference of Education Ministers of Islamic countries held in Muscat, Oman, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Chairman of the MuttahidaQaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) and Federal Minister for Education, announced an increase in educational scholarships for Palestinian students in Pakistan.

He stated, “At this crucial and decisive juncture in history, it is our religious and historical duty to assist our Palestinian brothers impacted by the ongoing Israeli aggression in Palestine’s education system, educational infrastructure, and students.” Dr. Siddiqui emphasized that we should not leave our Palestinian brothers alone in this difficult time, or else history will not forgive us.

The Minister of Education further said, “The Ministry of Education of Pakistan has issued directives to ensure that students who are unable to continue their education due to Israeli aggression in Palestine are provided opportunities to continue their studies at Pakistani universities.” During his speech, he also announced that Pakistan would mobilize all its resources to increase educational scholarships for Palestinian students.

Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui urged other Islamic countries’ education ministers at the conference, stating, “We must extend every possible assistance to our Palestinian brothers during this critical time.” Dr. Siddiqui stressed that the Islamic community must provide resources to support the devastated educational institutions in Palestine and continue the education of Palestinian students. He emphasized, “We should wholeheartedly support Palestinian students at this juncture so they can continue their education and play a role in the development of their country in the future.”
