In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed, tomorrow (Friday), against the surge in killings, random arrests and other human rights violations by Indian troops in the territory.

Call for the strike has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leadership.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly denounced the killing of 11 innocent youth in a week time in the occupied territory and said that the Indian forces’ personnel were engaged in systematic genocide of the Kashmiris.

Pertinently, the occupational forces have martyred 11 youth and destroyed over a dozen structures in violent cordon and search operations across the occupied territory since last Thursday.

Paying glowing tributes to the youth martyred during the fresh acts of Indian state terrorism in Srinagar, Pulwama, Ganderbal and Kupwara, the statement said the day is not far when the blood of Kashmiri martyrs will bear fruit.

The leadership appealed to the UN, OIC and world human rights watchdogs to take serious cognizance of the Indian state terrorism in territory and compel India to fulfill her international commitments vis-a-vis the Kashmir imbroglio.

APHC leaders including Hakeem Abdur Rasheed, Hilal Ahmad War, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Shamim Shawl and others while endorsing the call for the strike said that people of Jammu and Kashmir would continue their struggle for freedom despite Indian brutalities. They appealed the UN and world major powers to come forward to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

APHC leader, Hakeem Abdul Rashid in a statement issued in Srinagar urged the masses to observe a complete strike tomorrow.

Referring to the rising Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory, he said that the Indian forces had unleashed a reign of terror in IIOJK, adding they have mercilessly killed nearly a dozen Kashmiris, mostly youth, besides causing damage to civilian properties worth billions of rupees during their vio-lent crackdowns across the valley.

Hakeem Abdul Rashid appealed to the world human rights organizations to take effective notice of the Indian state terrorism, which, he said, was posing a serious threat to the Kashmiris in the held territory.

APHC leader Engineer Hilal Ahmad War in a statement issued in Srinagar, supporting the strike call, said the best way to pay tribute to them is to safeguard the sacred movement of right to self- determination of the oppressed people of Kashmir.

He appealed to the international community, in general and the United Nations, in particular, to take serious measures to stop Indian state terrorism in IIOJK and make India accountable for its war crimes in IIOJK.

Endorsing the strike call, APHC-AJK leader Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement in Islamabad urged the people to observe a complete strike to-morrow against the rising incidents of state-sponsored violence and continued bloodshed in the territory.

Highlighting the rising tide of the Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory, he said that Indian forces, deployed across the Kashmir Valley, had unleashed a reign of terror in the Valley by killing innocent civilians during cordon and search opera-tions.

He said that the Indian forces during their violent crackdown across the Valley had brutally martyred about a dozen Kashmiri and damaged civilian prop-erty worth billions of rupees.—KMS
