A shooting spree at the all-important Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) compound Monday morning left at least one person dead and many others seriously wounded.
“Shocking shooting incident unfolded within the premises of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) at Peshawar Judicial Complex left a person dead and four others seriously wounded”, officials said adding the incident prompted an urgent response from the law enforcement agencies.
Eyewitnesses said the alleged shooter, disguised as a counsel, initiated the gunfire, sending panic through the judicial complex which is heavily crowded as it houses dozens of courts and other departments. Judicial complex is attached with the deputy Commissioner Peshawar Complex and situated opposite the Corps commander Peshawar house. The injured victims were swiftly and efficiently transported to the hospital by the law enforcers and the rescue teams.
