Sheikhupura police bust 27 members of 7 gangs Stolen goods including cash, cellphone, bikes, weapons recovered

In this regard, the Sheikhupura Police under the leadership of District Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Mekan showed excellent performance and arrested 27 accused of seven dangerous robbery gang and traced 28 cases. A large number of stolen goods were recovered from the possession of the accused. The recovered goods included cash amounting to Rs1.6 million, 12 valuable mobile phones, nine motorcycles, and modern weapons. The district police under the leadership of DPO Ghulam Mubashir Mekan has shown excellent performance in the last one month. As a result of special campaign launched against proclaimed offenders, the police arrested 60 A-category and 191 proclaimed offenders of B category during the month.
DPO Ghulam Mubashir Mekan has been mentoring crackdown on illegal weapons across the district. As a result, 335 accused were arrested and 26 Kalashnikovs, 210 pistols, 30 bore , 56 rifles, 47 guns ,01 revolver and more than 03 thousand cartridges , and bullets were recovered and 335 cases were registered against them. As part of a special campaign against drug dealers, crackdowns were carried out across the district against those who spread death among the younger generation. As a result, 118 drug dealers were arrested and 112 cases were registered against them. 50 kg of hashish worth millions of rupees, 1400 gm of heroin, 2477 liters of liquor and 02 active distilleries were recovered from the area. Under National Action Plan, 13 cases were registered for violation of Loudspeaker Act.
The DPO commended the SHOs for taking full action against the criminals in the month of October and for their excellent performance. He also directed to implement the instructions and SOPs of Punjab government and continue to take action against such criminals. According to Ghulam Mubashir Mekan, the district police is honestly performing its professional duties to ensure uniform implementation of law and order and protection of life and property of the people. No compromise has been made on life and property of the people while performance professional duties. Moreover, Police force is always ready to make any kind of sacrifice while performing its duties.
