PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh on Saturday strongly condemned the escalating violence in Karachi, particularly during the festive occasion of Eid. Expressing deep concern, Mr Sheikh urged the government to take immediate action to address the deteriorating law and order situation in the city.
During Eid days in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi, separate incidents of robbery resulted in the deaths of two citizen, as Syed Tarab Zahidi was killed during an attempted robbery near Gulshan Chorangi, while Major Saad was murdered in a similar incident a few days earlier.
Mr Sheikh visited the homes of Tarab Zahidi and Major Saad to offer condolences. Sheikh expressed sympathy to both families and gathered details of the incidents. On the occasion, PTI leaders Agha Arslan, Advocate Nazirullah Mahsood, Faizan, Kashif Zaidi, and others were present.
While talking to media, Sheikh lamented the tragic incidents that occurred during Eid celebrations, resulting in the loss of innocent lives. He highlighted the recent killings of Syed Tarab Zahidi and Major Saad in separate robbery incidents, emphasizing the need for swift justice for the victims and their families.
Sheikh criticized the authorities for their failure to apprehend the perpetrators of these crimes, which have left Karachi residents feeling unsafe in their own city. He called on the government to prioritize the safety and security of citizens and to ensure that those responsible for such heinous acts are brought to behind the bars.
Furthermore, Mr Sheikh expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased and pledged to support them during this difficult time.
