Sindh High Court has issued notices to several officials, including FIA Sub-Inspector Amir Ali Khoso and the Deputy Director of the FIA Cyber Crime unit, in response to a petition concerning the illegal detention and harassment of a citizen, Muhammad ZeeshanArif. The petition, filed through Advocate Liaquat Ali Khan Gabol, alleges that the FIA Cyber Crime unit summoned the complainant via a call-up notice.

Upon his arrival at the FIA office, Khoso reportedly subjected him to verbal abuse, keeping him in unlawful detention for five hours. Advocate Gabol claimed that Khoso and his associates verbally assaulted his client, seized his mobile phone, and coerced him into signing documents under duress.

The lawyer further stated that the mobile phone, taken unlawfully, remains in the possession of the inquiry officer. The petition calls for an end to the FIA’s alleged harassment and legal action against the involved officials. The Sindh High Court has scheduled a hearing for September 27, 2024, issuing notices to all parties involved.
