HYDERABAD – Sindh Minister for Transport, Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Sharjeel Inam Memon inaugurated People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas, offering state of line commute service for people of the ancient and historical city of Sindh.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Memon said Pakistan is currently facing back-breaking inflation and unemployment, but reiterated Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) and Sindh Chief Minister’s efforts to provide relief to the people, especially better travel facilities.
He said People Bus Service is being launched under 10-point agenda rolled out by PPP for public service, as the party has always started its work according to the aspirations of masses.

PPP resolved the longstanding issues of the people, he said, and added that the efforts of the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Sindh government are underway to expand People’s Bus Service in every district of Sindh.
Sharjeel mentioned Karachi’s first AC electric bus service for women , which according to him is not available even in developed countries like Europe and Canada.
Sindh’s senior minister said People’s Bus Service is being subsidized by Sindh government to provide affordable and better travel facilities to the people amid record high fuel prices. He said Transport Department of the Sindh government is currently in the process of providing better and cheaper travel facilities to the people, in which after the Pink, AC, and Red Bus Service, the Orange Bus Service, Yellow Bus Service, Inter-City, and Intra-City Bus Service are on cards, for better intra-city travel.
