To combat rising street crimes and drug offenses in Sindh, Provincial minister SharjeelInamMemon, have initiated targeted actions to address these pressing concerns.
Sharjeel has highlighted the significant progress made during the tenure of the government, emphasized improvements in various areas across Sindh. Notably, significant strides have been made in enhancing security measures, particularly in the Katcha areas, where law enforcement authorities have been actively engaged in curbing criminal activities. Recent achievements include the successful recovery of thirteen kidnapped individuals within the past fifteen days, demonstrating the effectiveness of timely police interventions. Swift police action has also resulted in the prevention of six abduction attempts, further underscoring the government’s commitment to public safety.
To tackle street crimes, a targeted operation is underway, resulting in the arrest of fifty-nine criminals and the dismantling of the notorious Raja Gang. Additionally, authorities have seized a considerable number of illegal weapons, further bolstering efforts to maintain law and order. Addressing the challenges posed by illegal residents in the province, Minister Memon acknowledged the complexity of the issue but reassured the public of the government’s steadfast commitment to finding sustainable solutions. Furthermore, SharjeelMemon has emphasized the importance of collaboration with federal agencies to address drug-related offenses effectively.
With zero tolerance for narcotics, concerted efforts are underway to eradicate drug trafficking networks and prevent the spread of substance abuse in communities. In addition to law enforcement measures, initiatives to enhance public transportation services are being prioritized. Plans include the expansion of bus services in Mirpurkhas and the introduction of new routes in Karachi, including the Orange and Green Lines, aimed at improving connectivity and accessibility for residents.
