Shallwani supervises rescue work at collapsed building site

Administrator Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shalawani reached the affected area to supervise the rescue work at the collapsed building near Allahwala Town. All precautionary measures were taken to remove the debris from the affected building, he said. The administrator said that four people have been rescued from the rubble of the collapsed building, adding that every effort would be made to evacuate others trapped under the rubble. He asserted that all out work is underway to save precious lives in the presence of experts from the relevant departments of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation. Meanwhile, firefighters and rescuers were dispatched to the scene as soon as the building was reported to have collapsed. Shallwani said all concerned officers and staff will be on duty till the operation is completed in the affected building.
