Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif demanded an investigation into the purchase of the most expensive LNG in history.
International media confirmation of Pakistan’s purchase of the most expensive LNG proved the opposition’s position to be true. This fact proves that the government has been constantly misrepresenting the nation.
The PML-N which bought LNG for US$ 8 per MMBT, PTI is buying it for US$.15 per MMBT. The government is paying an additional 22.5 million dollar to order an LNG ship.
An additional 95 million dollar will have to be paid for the arrival of four LNG ships. This month, the public will have to pay US$.15 per MMBT unit of LNG, which is an injustice. Cheap LNG deals were available during the Corona crisis, but PTI deliberately delayed.
