In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference incarcerated Vice Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has ex-pressed deep concern over the deteriorating human rights situation stemming from the Indian fascist regime’s policy of suppression and repression in the territory.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a message to the free-dom-loving people of Jammu and Kashmir from New Delhi’s Tihar jail said that the Kashmiris had learnt a lot from the history of India’s fraudulent approach towards the resistance movement of Kashmir.
Praising the steadfastness of the people of Kashmir, the APHC leader said in the present cir-cumstances when the entire Hurriyat leadership is behind bars, the brave people of Kashmir have been able to maintain moral pressure on the Indian mili-tary power and almost have defeated India on all fronts.
Citing his own example, the incarcerated leader said, from his high school days he has seen the worst police lockups and has spent more than half of his life in various hell like jails of India and the occupied territory.
“But today I realise that most of our young leaders associated with the ongoing resistance movement of Kashmir have also spent almost half of their ages in the Indian jails and inter-rogation centres,” he said.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah paid rich tributes to more than five hundred thousand martyrs who nourished the Kashmir freedom movement with their sacred blood and reaffirmed to lead the ongoing resistance movement to its logical conclusion despite Indian atrocities, brutalities and all heinous means of sup-pression and repression.
Reiterating his pledge on behalf of all detained leaders and activists of the resistance movement, the APHC vice chairman said we have dedicated our lives for the sacred cause of freedom from Indian subjugation so New Delhi cannot deter the Kashmiri people from achieving their goal.
“Jails have proved best schools for the revolutionary movements of the world from times immemorial,” recalled the Hurri-yat leader.
Shabbir Shah urged the United Nations Secre-tary General to take cognizance of the widespread genocide and human rights abuses in Jammu and Kashmir at the hands of Indian occupational forces and help resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions to which India is a signatory.—KMS
