In a move that underscores a forward-looking approach to economic growth, Caretaker Commerce Minister Dr. Gohar Ejaz has announced ambitious plan to invite 100 top global brands to a conference aimed at supercharging Pakistan’s exports to a whopping $100 billion within next five years which in fact is the only panacea to all economic woes of the country.

Gohar Ejaz’s background as an industrialist brings a wealth of practical experience to his role as Commerce Minister. His firsthand knowledge of challenges and opportunities within the industrial sector positions him as a leader who can effectively address issues faced by industries and foster an environment conducive to growth and innovation. His idea of inviting top brands for a conference has generated significant optimism and excitement within the business community and beyond as it sets stage for a renewed focus on exports. One of the key highlights of Dr Ejaz’s plan is the proposal to extend a warm welcome to these global brands by inviting them as state guests to Pakistan. This gesture not only demonstrates government’s commitment to fostering strong international partnerships but also signifies its dedication to providing a enabling environment for businesses to thrive. Furthermore, the commerce minister has articulated a plan to offer these companies free office space and to designate the area as an “export zone” with comprehensive protocol. This innovative approach not only eases the entry for these global brands into Pakistan but also encourages them to invest and engage with local industries, potentially leading to greater economic collaboration and employment opportunities. Pakistan has long struggled to bolster its exports and if commerce minister succeeds in his endeavours in this regard, it will change country’s whole economic landscape where our youth will have immense job opportunities. We firmly believe that individuals of competence and vision, such as Gohar Ejaz, deserve necessary time and support in their roles to turn their objectives into tangible realities for development and prosperity of our nation.
