A day long colorful Seraiki festival was held at Comsats Taxila. Chairman “Hawks of Attock” Sardar Danial Sajjad was chief guest on the occassion. Chairman HAWKS OF ATTOCK Sardar Daniyal Sajjad The purpose of holding this colorful event was to appreciate the Seraiki civil society, led by Seraiki Student and Comsats Administration. Festival organiser Kashif Baloch and Ali Malik said the festival is being celebrated to promote the Seraiki culture among the people.
He told that Seraiki culture and language were amongst the oldest cultures and languages of the world and historians were of the opinion that Seraiki culture reflected the Indus Valley civilisation. The main attraction at the celebrations was a concert graced by Well known Seraiki Singer and performances of Seraiki dance called “jhummar”.
