ISLAMABAD – A 23-year-old son of a senior journalist Shakir Solangi passed away after suffering from cardiac arrest.
According to family members, Sheeraz Shakier Solangi experienced chest pain late on Sunday and was taken to a nearby medical facility.
After receiving treatment, he was allowed to return home. The next morning, he was found unconscious and was immediately shifted to a hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
Sheeraz had recently returned to Pakistan from China on July 24 after completing his graduation.
Funeral prayers were held at a mosque in Al-Habib Market, G-7/2, Islamabad. Following the funeral, his body was transported to his ancestral hometown of Khairpur for burial.
The funeral was attended by numerous journalists, media representatives and political personalities.
A wave of grief spread through journalistic and political circles as they expressed grief over the tragic loss.
National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Pakistan Peoples Party spokesperson Shazia Marri expressed sorrow over the loss, extending condolences to the bereaved family and praying for strength during this difficult time.
