The University of Okara’s Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture organized a seminar on the ‘Latest Trends of Research on Fisheries’ where Dr Mudassar Shahzad, Assistant Professor at University of Education Lahore, Dr Anser Mahmood Chatha, Director Research & Training at Punjab Fisheries Department and Dr Khalid Abbas Associate Professor at University of Agriculture Faisalabad delivered lectures to the faculty members and students of the Faculty of Life Sciences.
In his opening note, Dr Sjjad Sarwar, In-Charge Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture told that research in fisheries was largely of an applied nature aimed at solving practical problems of fish production and increasing productivity.—INP
