The University of Okara’s Department of Urdu organized a seminar on the ‘Solutions of the Challenges of Youth in Light of Allama Iqbal’s Thoughts’.

The In-Charge Urdu, Dr Sumaira Ijaz, along with other speakers encouraged the students to inculcate in them the characteristics, envisioned by Iqbal.

The keynote speaker of the event, Tahir Bahu, highlighted various examples from Iqbal’s thoughts to sensitize the youth to identify their inherent capabilities and resort to hard work and struggle to achieve their dreams.

Dr Sumaira argued that Iqbal’s poetry gave the message of love, peace and tolerance and by following his inspirational teachings, the youth could embellish their character and personality.

She told that the UO was a platform where the students were being mentally, spiritually and physically prepared for the challenges of the modern world.

Another faculty member from Department of Urdu, Dr Naseem Abbas, drew the picture of Iqbal’s ideal youth and goaded the students to mold their personalities according to what the great poet dreamt.

Dr Zahid Bilal from Mass Communication motivated the students to explore new horizons of knowledge and Dr Ghulam Mustafa from Chemistry explained certain significant steps taken by the UO administration for the academic and professional development of the youth.
