Seerat-un-Nabi conference held


Punjab University Hailey College of Banking and Finance (HCBF) has organized Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) conference on Saturday.

Former Chief Justice Lahore High Court Mr Justice (r) Anwar-ul-Haq, former PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Dr Ahmad Ali Badat from Jamia Asharfia, Dr Farah Naz Naqvi, Principal HCBF Prof Dr Mubbassher Munawar Khan, faculty members, employees and students were present on the occasion.

In their address, the speakers emphasized the adoption of high moral values in our lives as instructed by our beloved Prophet (PBUH).

They advised the students to learn to sacrifice for the deprived seg-ments of society. Mr. Justice (r) Anwar ul Haq expressed his concern about the weakening of family structure.

He advised practicing forgiveness to strengthen family bonds and commitments.

He said that overcoming anger and ego would save the relationship which was currently at stake.

He said that our beloved Prophet (PBUH) pardoned his enemies and after pardoning them, the Prophet (PBUH) forgot their anguish.

He said that social and cultural values flourish when society learns to forgive and forget. He said that once these spirits were infused, it would strengthen Muslim brotherhood and fraternity, which was the dire need for the renaissance of Ummah.
