Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) and International Faith Harmony Council President Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said on Monday that the Seerat Conference would be held on October 1 in Lahore. In a talk with the media here, he said: “I request the nation to adopt the Sunnah of Prophet (S.A.W) for creation of a peaceful society.” He said everyone would have to play his role to end intolerance in society.

Ashrafi said: “In the holy month of Ramazan, conventions would be held across the country to create interfaith harmony.” The PUC chairman emphasised that the Pakistanis living in the United States of America (USA) should raise their voice for rights of Kashmiris and Palestinians. “Do not become tools in the hands of those who are doing propaganda against Pakistan,” he advised.

Tahir Ashrafi said, “I plead with the chief justice of Pakistan to make the justice system accessible to common citizens.”
