DIG Hazara Region Mirwais Niaz chaired an online meeting regarding the security of Muharram in Hazara Division and had directed all the DPO’s to establish security control rooms at the district level, make possible the installation of CCTV cameras on routes of the Moharram procession with sensitive installations including Imam Bargah.
Complete search and strike operation should be done with holding of law and order review meeting at all the districts and special monitoring cells to be established to review the law and order and security arrangements of their districts under their special supervision says DIG Hazara Mirwais Niaz.
It was also directed to hold meetings with scholars of all schools of thought, dignitaries, peace committee members to establish peace>Meeting was also attended by District Police Officer Abbottabad Sajjad Khan, DPO Mansehra Irfan Tariq and DPO Haripur Imran Shahid DIG Hazara gave a detailed briefing regarding all security arrangements and issued them directions to go to the spot and check all the security.
Give the personnel who are assigned on the special duty of Muharram-ul-Haram proper instructions about their duty and strictly instruct them to do their duty alertly and do not tolerate negligence in duty will not be tolerated. For Muharram, with the help of the district administration, to install security cameras at important places of the city and on the streets of Maajalis, control the situation by establishing control rooms at the district level. Search and strike operations should be conducted.
