In a bid to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitar and foster community engagement, security forces orchestrated a vibrant three-day fun fair at the picturesque Gomal Zam Dam, situated just 20 kilometers from the Spin area of Wana tehsil, in South Waziristan Lower District.
The event, bustling with energy and excitement, boasted an array of activities including exhilarating boat races, enticing food stalls, and an assortment of swings tailored for children’s enjoyment. Security forces emphasized that the primary aim of the fair was to offer wholesome recreational opportunities while concurrently showcasing and celebrating local culture.
A sizable turnout of around three thousand participants, predominantly children, graced the fairgrounds, partaking in the festivities with zeal. Traditional dance performances, notably the spirited Attan, captivated the audience, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region.
SherUllahWazir, a visiting tourist, lauded the meticulously organized event and commended the security forces for their efficient arrangements. The highlight of the fair undoubtedly revolved around the exhilarating boat rides, which garnered widespread acclaim among attendees. Notably, stringent security measures put in place by the authorities were well-received, underscoring the collective effort towards establishing peace and security in the area.
However, amidst the jubilant atmosphere, voices of aspiration emerged from the youth and enthusiasts present, advocating for the establishment of guest houses in other key areas of Waziristan. Locations such as Kharmrang, Mantoi, Masardina, NezaiNarai, Margha China, Valley Shakai, and AngoorAdda were specifically mentioned, with the intent to facilitate tourists and ensure seamless accommodation and dining experiences.
The three-day extravaganza not only served as a source of joy and entertainment but also underscored the harmonious collaboration between security forces and the local community in fostering peace and prosperity in the region.
