Secretary Local Govt lauds ABAD’s role

Secretary Local Government Sindh Roshan Sheikh has accepted that mushroom growth of illegal construction is the result of unnecessary delay of approval to legal construction carried out by members of Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD). He said that Sindh Government will demolish all illegal constructions pointed out by ABAD. He assured to bring in system for granting approval of building construction within 10 days through One Window system.
He was addressing a meeting with ABAD members held at ABAD House here. Chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani, Director General Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Zafar Ahsan, Vice Chairman ABAD Abdul Rehman, Chairman Southern Region Ali Ratadia, former Chairmen Muhammad Hassan Bakshi, Saeed Ashraf, Junaid Ashraf Taloo and Anwar Gagai and a large number of ABAD members were present on this occasion. Muhammad Hassan Bakshi presented a presentation on illegal construction in Karachi and its dangerous impact for human lives. The presentation was widely appreciated by Secretary Local Government, DG SBCA and other government officials present on this occasion.
