President SCCI Muhammad Ashraf Malik, met key functionaries of the Ministry of Commerce including the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood, Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera, Federal Secretary Commerce and Maria Kazi, Secretary EDF to discuss the issues of the Export Sector of Sialkot and shared proposals for the promotion of exports through the highly value added exporting region. The meetings were held under the advocacy and lobbying reach initiative of the President Chamber where in Malik plans to meet all Government Stakeholders to highlight the issues of the industry in an enlightened manner. The Ministry of Commerce bigwigs assured the President SCCI of all out support and facilitation in line with the agenda of boosting exports. Ashraf Malik thanked the authorities for giving patient hearing to his points and proposals and said that such interactions were vital for both the private sector and the Government to set their priorities and develop a unanimous agenda. He also thanked Usman Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for his continuous support and role as the facilitator to the Sialkot Chamber in creation of linkages with the Government. SCCI President expressed that the relentless efforts of Usman Dar are being acknowledged and appreciated by the business community and are becoming of a true representative of his region. He also assured his commitment to continue to advocacy and lobbying drive till the necessary resolution of the issues and acceptance of the proposals for export promotion by the Government Officials.
