The Supreme Court on Thursday threw out the appeal filed by the former president General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf against the rejection of his nomination papers for 2013 general elections, saying it was inadmissible for the hearing because of being devoid of solid arguments.
A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial was hearing Musharraf’s appeal. The apex court, in its remarks, said that the former president would be able to defend objections to his nomination papers in case he again contested a general election.
