SC adjourns case of PTI’s de-seated MPAs

During hearing of petitions filed by renegade PTI MPAs challenging the decision of their de-seating by the ECP, the chief justice of Pakistan on Wednesday remarked was it not appropriate to make the newly elected members of the assembly party to this case A three-judge Supreme Court bench, headed by CJP Umar Ata Bandial, heard the pleas of the renegade PTI members of Punjab Assembly who were de-seated by the Election Commission of Pakistan following the reference sent by PTI Chairman Imran Khan which stated that these party MPAs violated the party discipline by giving vote in favour of PML-N candidate during the chief minister election in the Punjab Assembly this April.

The de-seated disgruntled PTI members changed their lawyer and their new Advocate Umar Aslam appeared before the court.

Advocate Aslam requested the court to adjourn the hearing of the case as he took up the case only Tuesday night and he had to study it.
