Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Al-Sharbatly has quali-fied for the 2024 FEI World Cup Finals for dressage and showjumping set to take place in Riyadh next month, Arriyadiyah reported on Thursday.

The competition will be held at the Riyadh In-ternational Convention and Exhibition Center from April 16 to 20.

The Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation con-firmed that Al-Sharbatly, who finished in fourth place with 44 points in the Middle East qualifying group, had secured his spot in the World Cup after his rival in third place, the UAE’s Salem Al-Suwaidi, withdrew from the competition.

Al-Sharbatly now joins fellow Saudi Arabia riders Khaled Almobty, who topped the overall standings with 73 points, and Ramzy Al-Duhami, who came second with 53 points.

The three will also make up the national team at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.—Agencies
