Saudi Authorities Deny Reports Of Suicide Bomber At Grand Mosque In Makkah

MAKKAH – Security authorities in Saudi Arabia has rejected reports of apprehending a suicide bomber at the Masjidul Haram in Makkah.

In an official, the clarified that circulating claims alleging that a suicide bomber had been apprehended are false, stressing the importance of relying on official sources for accurate information.

They added that security authorities in Masjidul Haram arrested a person for harassing passersby and causing fear and panic among them.

The individual was dealt with immediately, the necessary legal procedures were taken against him, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution.

Earlier, Houthi miitia attacked a power station in Madinah Al Munawarrah targeting an electricity distribution station to the Prophet’s Mosque.

Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack by the Houthi militia on the Taibah power distribution station in Madinah.

This reprehensible attack against civilian infrastructure supplying electricity to the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque is a grave provocation and a matter of deep concern and anguish for millions of Muslims worldwide, the Foreign Office said in a statement on Friday.

“The sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques and the safety of worshippers and pilgrims must be respected under all circumstances.”

“We call for an immediate and unconditional end of such reckless actions that also constitute a grave threat to regional peace and security,” it added.

Pakistan reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and expresses its full support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.

“We stand firmly with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to safeguard the Two Holy Mosques, protect its people and ensure the safety of pilgrims.”
