Saudi Ambassador calls on Pervaiz Elahi

Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Bin Said Al-Malki called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Wednesday.

Provincial Minister Hafiz Ammar Yasir, MNA Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Chaudhry Rasikh Elahi were also present in the meeting.

On the occasion, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the basis of mutual relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is Kalima Tayyba.

He pointed out that whenever there was a difficult time for Pakistan, Saudi Arabia supported and always stood by Pakistan.

On the occasion, Ambassador Nawaf said that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi truly loved Islam.

The Saudi Ambassador said that Pakistani doctors, engineers, scientists, and workers were playing an important role in strengthening the Saudi economy and country’s development.
Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki visited the new building of the Punjab Assembly.

Meanwhile, all the educational boards of Punjab on Wednesday postponed the announcement of results of the intermediate and matriculation annual examinations.

The Intermediate result for part II was supposed to be declared on September 30 and the matriculation annual results on October 16.

However, all the educational boards are waiting for the approval of examination promotion policy from the cabinet.

The promotion policy has yet to get a nod from the cabinet that has led to the further postponement of the results.

Secretary Punjab Boards said that new schedule for declaring the intermediate and matric results would be announced only after the approval of the promotion policy from the cabinet.

Earlier, the students appeared this year in different board exams that have been reduced only to the elective subjects according to a decision taken by the education ministers of all the provinces and federal education minister.

KPK and Federal Boards have already declared the intermediate result Meanwhile, an additional district and sessions court on Wednesday adjourned the denial of the marriage case of actress Meera until October 5.

During the hearing, the judge stopped Meera from ‘shouting and crying’ in the court and asked her to maintain the decorum of the court. The burqa-clad Meera pleaded that she has been asking for justice for the last 10 years.

Meera who appeared before the session court in Lahore with her lawyer said, “When I appeared in the US court, they give me enough time to complete my statement.”

The court summoned the lawyers of the concerned parties on the next hearing on October 5.

Actress Meera Ji had challenged the family court’s decision declaring her as the wife of Atteeq-ur-Rehman.

Meera in her petition stated that she did not marry Atteeq-ur-Rehman, adding that the family court decision was contrary to facts.
