Punjab Governor lauded the role and contribution of Islamia University, Bahawalpur, for the dissemina-tion of knowledge and education among the students belonging to the whole country.
This was stated by the Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar while addressing the seventeenth convocation of Islamia University Bahawalpur.
2347 graduates of the Islamia University of Baha-walpur for the Session 2015-2019were awarded Medals and degrees. On this occasion, Governor Punjab along with Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob conferred degrees on 60 PhD, 265 M.Phil, 108 Gold Medal, 104 Silver Medal and 2022 BS, B.Sc, MA and M.Sc graduates. On the occasion of his visit, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar attended a special briefing in the office of the Vice Chancellor where the Vice Chancellor briefed him about the development and research projects of the university.
Governor Punjab, Ch. Muhammad Sarwar said that government of PTI is determined andconstraints for the wellbeing of its youth in spite of financial is-sues. He said that the government has launched Ehsaas scholarship and Kamyab Jawan program to ensure the bright and brilliant future of needy and hardworking students across the country without any discrimination . He further stated that in the current era, economic progress cannot be achieved without promoting knowledge- based economy and globalization.
