Sardar Qayyum’s 5th anniversary on July 16

Fifth death anniversary of veteran Kashmiri leader Mujahid Awwal Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan is being observed on July 16, 2022 with full solemnity. On the day a prayerful gathering would be held at his mazar at Ghazi Abad, Bagh district.

Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan is credited with practically initiating Kashmir liberation struggle with his motto of Kashmir Banega Pakistan (Kashmir to become Pakistan). Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, ex-premier of AJK and supreme head of Muslim Conference, is supervising the anniversary observation arrangements. Thousands from across AJK and Pakistan will attend the praying assemblage of people at the mazar.
