The meeting was attended by Health Secretary Punjab Ali Jan Khan, Special Secretaries, Additional Secretaries and Vice Chancellors, Principals, CEOs and MSs from across Punjab, Special Secretary Muhammad Usman and Additional Secretaries Dr. Asim Altaf, Dr. Hafiz Shahid Latif and Zahida. Vice Chancellor University of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Prof. Dr. Aamir Zaman Khan and Vice Chancellor Faisalabad Medical University Prof. Dr. Zafar Chaudhry were also in the meeting. During the meeting, Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique reviewed in detail the issues including medicines, development projects, universal health insurance and recruitment on vacancies in government hospitals in Punjab.
During the meeting, the situation of Corona and Dengue in the province was also reviewed in detail. Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said, “Today, the gathering of all the officials of the health department will be an important step towards providing facilities to the patients in the government hospitals. According to the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz, providing better healthcare facilities to patients in government hospitals is the first priority. Every patient coming to Punjab government hospitals is a VIP for us.
PML-N government has always tried to improve the living standards of the common man.
Today I would like to instruct all the responsible persons to create maximum facilities for the patients. We will play our role as usual to make Punjab government hospitals better treatment centers. Today, I pay tribute to all the doctors who have served humanity. The shortage of doctors in government hospitals in Punjab will be met on priority basis. Ensure proper hygiene arrangements in government hospitals in Punjab.
HR should be completed as per contract in all government hospitals. Degree program in specialties like vascular surgery will also be started in medical schools of Punjab. No one’s permission is required to serve humanity.
Medical is a prophetic profession. Wants to provide maximum facility to the people of Punjab through Universal Health Insurance. Universal Health Insurance is the brain child of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. We have to work hard to provide better health facilities to the people of Punjab.”
