Salman Rafique, Hafiz Nauman released by police

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders Khawaja Salman Rafique and Hafiz Nauman were released from police custody for lack of evidence against them on Saturday.

Police sources said that the case was under investigation and both persons will be investigated after the Punjab Assembly session.Both N-League leaders surrendered themselves before the police on Thursday to be part of the investigation into the matter.

It is pertinent to mention here that the bodyguards of MPA Punjab and PML-N leader, Khawaja Salman Rafique, allegedly tortured and injured an official of the security force in a road rage incident in Lahore on Wednesday.

According to the FIR, the officer was going to Iqbal Town from Garden Town. Around 5 PM, a white Land Cruiser lost control and hit the officer car near Cavalry Ground where the incident occurred.
