Saim Ayub, Khurram Shahzad picked as Pakistan name Test squad for Australia tour

Pakistan annoucned a dynamic squad for the Australian tour on Monday. Openers Saim Ayub, and Khurram Shahzad will make Pakistan’s debut in the tournament.

Chief Selector Wahhab Riaz announced the squad ahead of the Green Shirts Test tournament against Australia. The series will be started from 14 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.

Newly appointed Test Skipper Shan Masood will be leading Asian nation as his first assignment.

All eyes are on young gun Saim Ayub who displayed A-game in Pakistan Cup and got the title of best batter of the tournament. Pacer Khurram Shahzad also got his first-ever Test call-up, on the back of a successful domestic season.

Chief Selector said all players in the national squad have been picked keeping in mind the challenging Australian conditions.
