LONDON – The wave of violent unrest and disorder continued across parts of United Kingdom UK, and amid deteriorating situation, the High Commission of India in London issued a safety advisory for Indian nationals in Britain.

Indian authorities urged their citizens to stay vigilant and exercise caution amid ongoing violent clashes targeting immigrants and asylum seekers. The advisory comes after a tragic incident involving the fatal stabbing of three young girls in Southport, northwest England.

The attacks sparked widespread concern and misinformation online, with UK authorities urging nationals to avoid specific areas. High Commission also shared emergency contact details for India House at Aldwych, London.

India advises nationals to stay cautious in UK

Violent incidents have broken out across the UK, driven by far-right, anti-immigrant violence, in wake of misinformation about stabbing incident in Southport.

This unrest marks disorder in over decade and has injured scores of cops and led to the torching of hotels housing asylum seekers. Amid the worrisome development, UK PM Keir Starmer said he is facing his first major crisis, and he convened emergency meetings.

So far, hundreds of arrests have been made, with more expected as authorities use facial recognition to identify suspects.
