The best cleaning arrangements are being made by the Lahore Waste Management Company to maintain the beauty of the city. LWMC’s 15-day “Safai Nisf Eman” zero waste campaign is going on vigorously.
In last 24 hours, more than 4600 tons of waste has been lifted across the city and disposed of in an environment friendly manner. In order to maintain the best possible cleanliness arrangements in provincial capital CEO Babar Sahib Din is active in the field and monitoring the cleanliness operation himself. According to the spokesperson of LWMC, CEO LWMC reviewed the cleanliness arrangements at Shaukat Ali Road, Akbar Chowk, College Road, Township Market, and Ghousia Chowk. During the visit he issued a final warning to Town Manager Shakeel Wahid Chaudhry for the poor sanitation situation in Iqbal Town.
The in-charge of Zone 46 Saqlain has been dismissed for poor performance while ZO Aashiq Hussain of Zone 39 has also been issued a warning.
