In a cordial gathering at the Russian consulate in Karachi, Consul General Andrey Viktorovich Fe-dorov extended warm congratulations to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the role of Prime Minister. Ex-pressing confidence in Pakistan’s new leadership and the collective efforts of its people, Fedorov anticipated remarkable strides in national develop-ment.
Fedorov’s offer for Pakistani media to cover Rus-sia’s upcoming presidential election was coupled with echoes of President Vladimir Putin’s stance on Ukraine, underlining Russia’s resilience. Highlight-ing the enduring bond between Russia and Pakistan since 1948, Fedorov expressed optimism for the future of their relationship.
In response, Chairman & CEO of Pakistan Ob-server, Faisal Zahid Malik, praised the significant progress in Pakistan-Russia relations, particularly in exchanges, military cooperation, and trade routes via Afghanistan. Malik emphasized Russia’s pivotal role globally, especially in addressing long-standing conflicts in Kashmir and Palestine, crucial for peace in South Asia and the Middle East.
The meeting also explored avenues for enhanced collaboration in trade, tourism, education, and cul-ture, reflecting the mutual commitment to strengthen bilateral ties. Malik conveyed best wishes for Russia’s presidential election, while re-ceiving a warmth of appreciation from Consul Gen-eral Fedorov for Pakistan Observer’s journalistic dedication, symbolizing the enduring bond between the two nations.
