The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee weakened by 26 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Monday and closed at Rs 176.49 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 176.23.
According to Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market recorded at Rs 178 and Rs 179.5 respectively. Similarly, the price of euro appreciated by 33 paisas and closed at Rs 199.89 against the previous day’s closing at 199.66.
The Japanese Yen gained one paisa to close at Rs 1.55, whereas a decrease of 13 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 239.13 as compared to its last closing at Rs 239.26.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 07 paisas to close at Rs 48.05 and Rs 47.05 respectively.—APP
