The Pakistani rupee weakened by 51 paisas, against the US dollar in the inter-bank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs 176.78 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 176.47.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs 177 and Rs 178.6 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the Euro was appreciated by 55 paisa and closed at Rs 199.58 against the last day’s trading of Rs 199.03, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen remained unchanged at Rs 1.55, whereas an increase of Rs 1.39 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs 234.86 as compared to its last closing of Rs 233.47. –APP
